My Three Pigs

Breast Entanglements

Playwright's note
Being personally fascinated with myth creation, I have begun to play with old children's stories from my now adult perspective. As I have embarked upon my own journey to find my place within this world. I first rediscovered childhood where it all began. I want children of all ages to learn that we gerow through our mistakes rather than by cautiously guarding ourselves from any embarrasing risks. Balance work and play, nurture your child, celebrate life. Live, feel all the feelings, and grow.

My Three Pigs is based on "The Three Little Pigs", but it portrays it as a dysfunctional family with Bricks as an obsessive compulsive perfectionist who only understands work. Sticks and Straw are party animals who have no sense of responsibility.

In 1977 Mo Ranch Presidient, Otis Moore, concieved the idea of turning Dan Moran's old dairy barn into a place where ranch guests could experience live theatre. As Dr. Moore sent out feelers, Dr. Dub Narramore, Austin College theatre professor remembered fondly from his youth and responded enthusiastically. With the financial support of Austin College and Mo Ranch, the Austin College Theatre Troupe was born in the summer 1978. This play was performed in ACTT's 14th season in residence at Mo Ranch.
